Programming languages

In this course you can choose to work with either Matlab or Python. For the purpose of this course, the three languages provide very similar functionality.

You should choose the programming language that best fits your needs in your future studies. The recommendations below are given by the study leaders of the different study lines. You might also talk to senior students in your study line to hear their recommendation.

Installing the software

During the exercises you can use DTU's databar, but we recommend that you install the necessary software on your own computer. It is a good idea to do this before the course starts, since it may take a while to download and install.

Matlab

Matlab can be downloaded from DTU Software Downloads. Get the newest version and follow the online guide.

Python and Spyder

Python can be downloaded from Anaconda. Choose the newest version.
